Raborn Johnson really did Jon Meyer a disservice with the above "review".
I was intrigued by the Soft Drums concept, but when listening to the review, I was taken aback by the sound of the snare that was anything but soft; more like an aggressive whiplash!
Luckily I decided to head over to Jon Meyer's website and listen to the audio demos, before writing off Soft Drums.
I'm very pleased that I did. In Jon's demos, the snare has a most satisfying, deep 'tchock' sound, nothing like the sound in the review.
Instant purchase!
Did Raborn Johnson pipe the snare through his speech mike?
