'Cyberpunk Volume 2" contains 115 brand new presets presets for Arturia CS-80V (version 4.0 and up). This sound library draws inspiration from the cyberpunk aesthetic to take you on a dystopian, retro-futuristic journey. A variety of moods are present, from anxiety to outright terror and profound sadness, with a dash of hope and soma-induced euphoria thrown in. While the 80s influences in Volume 2 are still blatantly clear, the overall character leans toward sinister and aggressive tone colors. Also included is a pack of 22 original, royalty-free drum samples in WAV format.
Please note that CS80V version 4.0 and up is required to use these sounds, as the bank file will not load in earlier builds.

Since we have banks for 2 different CS80 emulations (Arturia and Cherry Audio), I want to point out a few things. While all the banks are cyberpunk/retrowave themed, they each focus on what makes CS80V and GX80 different from each other, and have different "personalities". In the CS80V 4.0 update, Arturia removed the beloved "Multi" function that let you do layering and other neat voicing tricks (what the hell were they thinking??), so I focused on the new features, stuff Cherry's emulation doesn't have. The GX80 bank focuses heavily on layered stuff and uses a lot of the GX1 features. Personality-wise, the new CS80V bank leans toward truly dystopian moods, while the GX80 bank has a more cinematic/ambient quality.
There will be a 3rd CS80V bank, centered around the traditional "Bladerunner" feel. Little too busy with other stuff at the moment, but it's on the To-Do list.
BTW, I also have a cinematic style Arp2600V bank in the works...lots of soundscapes, atmospheres, special FX, modular basses/leads, pads, etc
. Gonna be a while before it's released, but it's definitely happening.

Opinions are split on what it is. On one side is stuff inspired by the Bladerunner soundtrack/aesthetic, with a more chill/retro sound, and on the other is a more modern take with edgier/moodier sounds. I've included elements of both sides in the soundset.BONES wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 2:27 am Who decided this shit was "Cyberpunk"? It's way too clean and nice.

My first reaction when listening to the demo was game music for a cyberpunk retro bitmap game. Cool sounds and vibe.Xenos wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:11 am Opinions are split on what it is. Both of which are completely wrong. Neither are what Cyberpunk is. Whoever decided to use this term for that style of music needs to read Neuromancer.Xenos wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:11 amOpinions are split on what it is. Interestingly enough, one of the major inspirations for this soundset was the Cyberpunk 2077 videogameDrGonzo wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:42 am My first reaction when listening to the demo was game music for a cyberpunk retro bitmap game. Cool sounds and vibe.
