I'm just starting to dig into sound design but, to me, it's very clean and rounded, likely a sine wave base oscillator, with a portomento definitely present for those fast slides up. You should be able to get close with almost any soft synth. You have one you rely on and own?

Envelope on cutoff of lowpass or bandpass filter moving the cutoff frequency lower pretty fast when a key is pressed. Mess around with running some basic wave forms, multiple oscillators, pitch offset or slight detune. Just brainstorming.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

It's round, although I'd say there's a fair amount of "warm" saturation going on (whether in the synth signal path and/or later in the chain). Not full-on crunchy distortion, yes. Probably some fast portamento, agreed.vorp40 wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 1:18 am I'm just starting to dig into sound design but, to me, it's very clean and rounded, likely a sine wave base oscillator, with a portomento definitely present for those fast slides up. I own more synths than I care to admit.
I think it's the character of the filter that contributes a lot to the sound. The osc's may be a mix of square + saw.Dirtgrain wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 2:14 am Envelope on cutoff of lowpass or bandpass filter moving the cutoff frequency lower pretty fast when a key is pressed. A well-behaved signature.
