I'm preparing a setlist for a live performance using ableton. I'd like to have different vocal effects on different inputs based on the clips I'm triggering. Is there a way to do this?
I'd also like to change my vocal effects while within the clip. Say I'm triggering a long audio file that's a karaoke track. I'd like my effects to vary based on where I am in the clip.
Is this doable or should I look into alternate tools like MainStage?
Is it possible to change vocal chains on-the-fly in Ableton?

Yes, you could use effect racks to nest and map macro controls for your effects in a single track, and then use snapshots to switch between settings, or automate per clip.
You can also nest effects racks into effect racks and automate transitions between them if you want totally different effect chains in a single track.
here is an example, but this feature actually has a lot to explore
