restoring vegas 3.0 presets

hi -
i'm using vegas 3.0 - i have saved several presets however they are not available any more in the plugins -- the .dxb files are there though - in C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Vegas 3.0\Presets - how can i get vegas to recognise these files again.

i presume there must be some way of restoring them or else how would you get them back if you needed to reinstall vegas ??

ps also does anyone know where vegas stores the rest of it's presets ie the track compressor and eq settings as they dont seem to get stored in the presets folder and i heard someone say they were stored in the .veg file
