I am trying to use just released v5. Standalone app loads. The vst in Bitwig opens window with trial warning (all content centered on the right edge), then nothing happens.

Thanks for reporting this bug!
I found a problem when using the RC VST3 or AU plug-in on retina screens, but only on Apple Silicon. On Intel-based macs the UI works well... Fix will be available shortly.
