Hi All,
So, I’m thinking about signing up for Melda’s current special for their Subscribe-to-Own program and I have two questions:
1. Has anyone ever been subscribed and then had their MComplete Bundle upgrade price increase? The language on the page for the subscription gives them the right to do this, but I wanted to know if it has actually ever happened. I wouldn’t want to keep chasing that carrot that I’ll never catch.
2. If I buy plugins outside of the subscription, will they continue to reduce the price of the bundle? Currently, they do, but it would suck if being on the subscription model would put an end to that.
Thanks all for any advice.
Has anyone with the Melda subscription ever had their MComplete Bundle price increase?

There's contradictory information on this page:
At the top it says (emphasis by me)
The bundle price increased last time about 3 years ago. Before that, I don't know. I haven't used Melda plugins for much longer than that.

At the bottom it saysWhen the sum of your payments levels the full MCompleteBundle price at the time you first subscribed you'll get the full permanent licence;
This sounds like you'll have to match the current price. Since you'll have to be subscribed for about 8 years to get the Bundle, you'll probably have to deal with a price increase or more.Subscription licence gets promoted to full MCompleteBundle licence when the sum of your payments reaches its current full price. [...]
Please note that by current price we mean the price at that moment and this price may change at any time in the future.

Why would you do that, if you already have access to every plugin?Remedial wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 5:16 pm 2. Also, I would continue to buy plugins when I see them on special because not only would they decrease the price of the bundle that I’m working towards, but also, should I choose to discontinue my subscription, I’ll walk away with a good chunk of plugins that I still own.
I rely simply on the subscription for my access, if I stop paying for it a month before I should finish paying it off, I won’t own anything other than those plugins that I have bought licenses for.
Of course this is an extreme hypothetical, but 10 years is a long time to pay towards attaining a complete bundle.
The one thing I wish is that they did something like Plugin Alliance, where you got a certain amount of plugin licenses for each complete year that you subscribe.
