How to find out CCs when CC sequencing with a plugin sequencer?

I've been trying out HY-SEQ32 which has a variety of sequencer lanes including CC sequencing and I've encountered a problem.

Some synths have easily exposed CCs for each knob/fader (e.g. ImpOSCar2) and some you can set the CC to whatever you want (e.g. SurgeXT). However the majority of my synths seem to only feature MIDI learn (e.g. TAL-U-NO-LX and Arcsyn).

Trying MIDI learn, I've only managed to sequence one parameter despite trying additional CC sequencer lanes.

As I don't particularly want to link the synth/s controls to a MIDI controller, what would anyone suggest as a tactic to reveal the necessary CCs for use within a sequencer?

I use Reaper & Windows 10.

5 minutes later and I'm opening Reaper to try out my 'so obvious, why didn't I think of it before' fix.
Set up a CC sequencer lane #1 (entering any CC number) and hit play..
Arcsyn MIDI learn on, twiddle a knob.
Disarm seq #1 and repeat above for seq #2.
Voila! Two knobs twirling.
