Love the look and vibe of it in use in that Cuckoo demo.

If I didn't already have an OP-Z I'd be all over this.
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus

For the price and utility this really seems like a great value sampler! Very surprising from Teenage Engineering who lately have been creating stupidly priced hipster junk.

TE like to keep you guessing!

Not super interested in this personally (but I respect the price), but a hardware MicroTonic drum machine would be cool based on PO32 Tonic would be very interesting and probably open my wallet!

Yeah I'm not the target market for this either but like you, I'd probably purchase a proper MicroTonic in this size if it included some nice and quirky punch in effects.

I already have way too many samplers and am still learning the octatrack.. then again, this would pair very nicely with the OT! Hmm.. also the built in microphone seemed rather good in Cockoo's video. Didn't have that tinny OP-1 sound at all but rather full and useful. I may have to find a unit to demo.

Sounds like your talking yourself in to a purchase

He’s definitely talking himself into purchasing!

I did the same and have a preorder through Perfect Circuit.

I don’t need a new sampler, but this is fun with punch in effects and velocity sensitive effects.

I don’t have an Octrack and I sold off Digitakt when I got the Push 3, but these are just plane fun. It’s hard to say no when I know I’m gonna be happy playing it.

Thank goodness they’re adding an accessible tier. Those field editions IMO are not worth it. Finally playing an OP1 was probably the most disappointing experience and it saved me some money.

Banging.

This looks excellent as a scratchpad for ideas. Its battery powered (4 AAA) and seems to have a fairly easy workflow. 300 dollars so it competes better over the Novation groove products plus has an actual screen.

That's always been my hangup on groove or sample/drum machines is the workflow is convoluted. From what I've seen in the reviews, this one has just enough features to be useful but not too many where you're menu deepdiving or getting stuck in a thick manual.

I also see Andertons isn't immune to the childish shocked face thumbnail and exaggerated reactions in their videos. :dog: That immediately deducts around 30 IQ points off your going rate.

I hope loopop reviews it soon..

Yeah I'm really damn tempted. That 4xAA battery power is just awesome. Could be a real nice pick up and play thing.

Cool, but too limiting. They could have easily knocked it out of the park.
I'll wait for the Pro version.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

Is it exaggerated though? I couldn't finish the video because it was over the top, but he looked sincerely excited

I do agree, this one seems to sit nicely with just enough features, while not trying to do it all.
