Alright...
Everyone was able to help me with my "pads" question...
Now I need a little help with time signatures...
How in the hell do I get out of the steady 4/4 patterns in fruityloops... like a good 16th note hi-hat pattern... It's frustrating the hell out of me... any info or links on different time sigs in FL Studio would be great because I'm coming up with nothing with online searches.

what version of FL are you using??

well the best way to do different meters in fl is to
1) go to tools
2) project general options (Ithink- this is off the top of my head)

you can set the meter there. 3/4 is the easiest to do besides 4/4. What you need to keep in mind is that most drummers dont play 16th note hi hats in 3/4 time. listen to some 3/4 time music and hear the patterns that real drummers play. The obvious pattern that 3/4 time uses is the "waltz" drum beat Um-pah-pah/ un-pah-pah.

Start with that, and then make adjustments until you hear something you like. Alot of times 3/4 music has a very shuffled feel to it, so try adjusting the shuffle of your patterns. Other than that, its just a matter of trial and error.

Off hand I can think of several albums that have some good 3/4 music. Ben folds fives' whatever and ever amen album has 3 or 4 songs in that meter. The eels' Daisies of the galaxy also has many songs in 3/4 time.

The obvious choice for a bizaare meter is Pink Floyds Money, which is 7/8 time. The beatles have several songs which go from 4/4 to 3/4 for a measure then back to 4/4(all you need is love). The song good morning goes from 4/4 to 5/4 time, which gives it a feeling of stopping and starting after every verse. Blue Jay way is written mostly in 5/4 time, but switches to 4/4 in parts. lets see, happiness is a warm gun features 4/4 drumming and 3/4 time on guitars in the "I need a fix coz Im going down section"

Give those a listen and you will start to develop a feel for it..
