I’m pretty new with the RME UCX II - sounds good but have difficulties understanding, what are some of the settings of the TotalMix, when I’m recording.
How to adjust the recording monitoring level?
The balance between the monitoring level of the background which comes to the headphones, and the monitoring (e.g. mic vocal) of the input recording level to headphones, in the TotalMix, is challenhing to adjust.
I’’m with the Live 11 and Win 10.

The questions you are asking regarding Total Mix need more than just perfunctory answers as the software - which is really great - is quite complicated for a noob and quite difficult to explain. Best to watch some tutorials as the visual aspect is extremely helpful.
RME have a few tutorials on their site and there are also some good ones on YouTube.
I would suggest looking there.

Sounds like you don’t know yourself how to adjust the monitoring balance.
Do you really think I haven’t watched tutorials etc. - this was the first thing to do, before putting this question.
If you can give any real add on value, keep away from this thread.

Can you read? Re-read my message above.
Your ”help” was saying, ”read the manuals”.
Of course I started by that, and then put the question here.
No one likes smartasses.
Obviously you don’t know anything about the subject.

What an unfortunate take on my reply.
Survival of the rudest seems to be your credo. Wake up!
Anyway! My apologies for mistaking and not understanding your question. But hey! If you saw the tutorials why is it you needed to ask the question in the first place.
Might I suggest you take your anger somewhere else.
Oh! And don’t bother getting your knickers all hot and steamy as this will be my last appearance on this thread… as you so kindly requested.

Why do you care about that? If you have an answer to give, write it down.

Watching tutorials only lets you absorb the theory. Nobody ever learned how to swim or ride a bike that way.
I guess this is one of those things where you just have to dig in. Open a simple session, connect a radio diskman or whatever to an input, and play with the controls.
