Does anyone have lengthy samples of a car speeding?
The guy also needs the car getting "airborn", hitting the pavement sliding onto gravel and hitting a tree with the sound of branches, the engine still running with it set on fire.
I thought Id have enough in my library but I don't :?

I have most of it except a lengthy one of the car pedal to the medal (with high quality and high end) and getting airborn.
If not would anyone be willing to record their drive as much as safely possible? :P

I'd be oh so grateful and would add your credit to the work.

:help:

Thank you,
Jason

Crikey. Maybe rent a car chase movie and try and record the soundtrack. Probably illegal though... :(

If you don't mind paying for such a thing, you might find something on a Hollywood Edge CD:

http://www.hollywoodedge.com/

They specialize in sound effects and Foley for film, video, and broadcast. Car wreck recordings are going to be hard to get without either (as has been mentioned) lifting 'em from something (dodgy legality) or having a friend wreck his car for you! :-o

Thanks Wooly but I dont have the funds.

Yes I know its specific Im relaying the guy whos making a documentary and is assuming I'm a hollywood studio even though I told him I May be able to help him out. Then he tells me all these sounds like "and maybe you can hear the airbags go poof"
I think hes off his rocker.
I just figured someone had a library of that like Hollywood edge.
I don't want to resort to using something from a movie but will probly have to anyway
This is an audio site I didn't think itd be that big of a deal

There *is* an option - there are free "sound effect" soundfonts out there that have things like car wheel spins, door slams, etc. - if you can find one or two of those, and grab sfz (free soundfont player) you might be able to fake it well enough to pull off something. It won't be big-budget good but it could possibly pull you through.

Also, try here: http://www.a1freesoundeffects.com/ there's some stuff under "vehicles", in the free section. There are screeches, crashes, etc. for your enjoyment.

All you need to do is win the monthly contest and make a theme like..."CAR CRASH...make a car crash track only using a pen and some dirt". There's all the fodder you would ever need.
:hihi:
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".
