We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

three country music songs from stevie nicks did it for me
it took this song that i heard on fm radio, that i really like
to make me wonder who sang it
https://youtu.be/PgagPdVM7bk?si=KpxyiWGtVULuGLs-
after i found out who sang it, i also found out that she wrote it
then i heard another song of hers on a cd that i borrowed from the library
i loved that song too but later i saw a video of it, a live performance
and the ending of the song was different
she was giving it all she got, singing her lungs out, like a real rock singer
https://youtu.be/jQAK6sVovUk?si=nHc3HQ3HpRbLvtox
when she got much older, her voice was damaged by overuse of cocaine
but in the video below, her voice was still okay
and this third song of hers made me a fan for life
just melodies + lyrics + acoustic guitar

first thing I heard by King Crimson is the first song on the first album: 21st Century Schizoid Man. My little 13 y.o. mind was blown. I began lobbying my mother for money to buy it. I got it for Xmas either in 1969 or 1970.

The consecutive release of fat of the land by prodigy and dig your own hole by the chemical Brothers. I was into music a lot before but these 2 have been landmarks in my musical history.
