"The Story of Me" - vocalist needed

Hello,
this song badly needs a real singer.
The reference guide currently uses an AI voice, of course lacking proper expression and dynamics but at least it does the job of representing the melody and lyrics decently.
Also, instrumental parts, lyrics improvements/suggestions/corrections, and any other kind of contributions and (polite and constructive) feedback are welcome.
The arrangement is still underway also because it will likely change depending on the final vocal performance.
Here it is.

Thanks!

Mario,
There are various services where you can order vocal parts.
Or do you want to create a project with someone from the forum guys?

I'd like to find someone who wants to work with me to complete the song, especially regarding lyrics, melody, and vocals. I'm not interested in paying, I can exchange collaborations but this is just a hobby for me.
I hope the song can raise some interest. It has potential for me but the vocal performance is key of course.

Talking with Jane here...
We are happy to have a go so long as it is always marked as a collab eg "Mabian with Jane Is Not Afraid".
We will share on our side too (not that you should expect much).
We would need Music Bed + MIDI incl Vocal Melody and Lyrics. We DO NOT want the robot voice as it causes a singer to see it as a repetiteur and sing botty-like :-O It is likely that we will need to change the key as Jane probably won't reach that high.
I assume you listened to Jane on our BC to understand her unique voice.
We will not MeloTune or accept it - part of our thing.

Benedict, we should surely try
It will be marked as "Errepici feat. Jane is not Afraid" or something similar, ok for you?
I'll leave the key original; when you get it you can try transposing it to what you prefer.
The timbre is something on its own, let's see how it works with the song, which is on its own as well
The arrangement will still evolve, but let me prepare the Music bed, MIDI including vocal notes and Lyrics, it's likely that when I get the vocals the production will still change around it.
Let's see how it goes. We'll let this out only if we are all okay with it - whatever is needed - if any - about tuning; not all tuning is noticeable, and it often shouldn't be indeed.
If you can PM me with some email references I'll send links for stuff when it's ready.
Thanks!

If you can send everything through to Benedict, I will take a look at the lyrics and get a feel for the song. As he said, my vocal range is lower in alto rather than soprano, but we'll see what feels right in terms of key

We have a No AI, No Loops, No MeloTuning policy so prefer that goes wherever we do. I know that is different (like fur-hating vegans) but it is a serious thing with us. If you prefer, I would be delighted to do the final mix.
I do all client work through Messanger so you can find me there via my Facebork: https://www.facebook.com/benedict.roffmarsh/
Let me know here (with a Quote) so I get a ping to make sure I go look.

Hi there,
in the end we found a collaboration: Ben and Jane ("Jane Is Not Afraid") were very kind and got in the track; we exchanged material and compared our points of view, and in a few days - the man is fast - Ben managed both to remix the original parts and make a totally new and his own arrangement.
So there are two versions, both with a real singer - Jane
This is what they came up with.

Of course, we hope you like it.
My version is on hold, I also have my remix with Jane's voice but I'm wondering what's the point in releasing it since Ben did such a great job with the same parts already.
And, about the original AI singer, well, we'll see...
Thanks!

In the end, I decided it was worth to release also the original version, with a virtual singer, not because it's better, but it's different and it has its own identity. What voice or version is better is controversial and fully subjective, but anyway, here it is the official Errepici version:

Thank you very much for comments, feedback, listening and so on.
Definitely time to move to something else now - which I also did in the meanwhile to not become too obsessed
