Korg are definitely gone insane. I doubt there would be any demand for this but well, must be nice for those who can afford it. Maybe my idea for a re-release of their iconic digital synths isn't so far fetched, such as Wavestation, M1, as I'm sure they would actually sell like hotcakes.

If you put on heavily rose-tinted glasses, it's way cheaper than buying one of the few surviving from the original production run. Also, (hopefully) not in need of immediate repair

I might have tried to get one if I weren't already putting 2-3 years of gear budget into building a new studio space.
I also had to pass on the PatchPoint reissue of the Synton Fenix 2.
It's just gear in the end but it's really cool to see Korg building products like this. However many they make, I'm certain they'll sell them all.
I wish they would do a video which shows the process of assembling this and the other FS models.

I think they look at it from the business perspective of "make something for every economic market"cryophonik wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 9:28 pm Oh, I totally saw this one coming. Korg is so predictable
much like Canon and Nikon make cameras for people who can afford $500.00 cameras to people who can afford $6000.00 cameras satisfying every segment.
I think.
