If one was to purchase Sonic Refills Vol 14 Ethnic Instruments, is it possible to convert these to other sampler formats?
I've been looking at getting this and converting over to a sampler that I can use, because it is so cheap at $40 for a whole heap of nice ethnic instruments.
I'm probably pipe dreaming, but I'm thinking that there is probably a way to convert these over to other sampler formats.

HI
You could record or sample them - this would be time consuming, for beats though it wouldn't be a big deal if you just bounced the beat to a wav and hey-presto you have the loop.
Flipper.

Darn!
I thought that was the case. There is obviously a reason why they were so cheap at $40.
Oh well, it turns out I *was* having a pipe dream! Ah well, life is like that. Awww shucks!!!

Looking at Sonic Station or Sonik Synth. Very handsome set of sounds. Mostly synth stuff but also a lot of nice ethnic stuff too. I love that Logical EP. That is one beautiful EP sound.
It's basically choosing between which one gives me overall value and one for specific instruments. If we went out and spent all our money on specific instruments we'd all be bankrupt! So I guess it comes down to picking one and sticking with it. I *need* ethnic sounds, especially celtic stuff.
