Greetings,
I created this topic to ask for advice in promotion of music and gaining audience.
I searched related topics on forum, but, shame on me, didn't found one.
I will not post any links, so it wouldn't be considered as ad. I am ready to send them in private messages, If asked so.
Below I will describe my situation regarding which I would like to ask for advice.
I posted 12 songs on Soundcloud streaming service in period from December 2023 to January 2024.
At first, I posted a single and it got only one listening.
Next, I posted my mini album of 5 songs. Dew to technical issues, I posted it as "playlist", but not as an "album".
I recieved around 50 listenings in first few hours, and around 80 in total.
Yesterday I posted second album, and it hardly got 10 listenings in two days. I posted it as album, not playlist, like I did previously.
I add related tags for every release, as well as make album covers.
I try to make fancy album covers, so I spend around day or two to draw them.
If there are people using SoundCloud for distributing music, may I ask you to share:
1. After which of your actions, release didn't recieved any attention.
2. How may I manage my situation, so I get 50-100 listenings on album on regular basis
3. Which additional information may I provide, so it would be easier to handle situation?
P.S: I am completely ok with 50 - 100 listenings on release. I am just beginner, so I am not looking for big numbers.

I am not familiar with English-speaking Internet culture and slang. Thank you for your patience.

For me to follow you need to be good looking and have videos of actual playing. If it's only audio it better be a real recording and not computerized and compressed into mainstream soul selling drivel.

I would recommend focusing on YouTube rather than SoundCloud for promoting your music. YT is a much larger and more popular platform, and it's easier to get your music discovered on there. You can also post your links to Spotify, Apple Music, etc. in the description of your videos.
Your videos should be visually appealing and engaging and a good representation of your music.
Then share your videos on your social media channels and with your friends and family. Collaborate with other artists, this will help you reach a wider audience.
But the most important one: be patient. You won't see immediate results. If your music is good, it will eventually be recognized.

If you want more attention in a situation like that, you need to expose yourself to people in other situations and be someone people have some hint about and a reason to click on the thing. As many people as there are at that site posting tracks you cannot expect something unknown to attract attention on its own, even if it's great; there's far too much competition.
For instance the Music Cafe here as the place you share the Soundcloud links, and other social media, FB, Youtube. or to be out in the world doing something visible. Schmoozing.
