What a Best String Ensemble library for modern Country Music

Hello to all colleagues. I compose music in the style of Folk - country music - modern country music. I'm looking for string libraries for my songs. (I bought Solo The fiddle from indiginus). I own Cubase 13 Pro and Kontakt 7 full version. I record most of the instruments on real instruments, but I miss the strings in the background of the songs. I don't compose classical music.
I've been looking at Aeria Lite , Anthology Strings (they have good prices now), More expensive: Spitfire Chamber Strings Essentials. I am a beginner in this field. I play guitars, banjo, bass, harmonica, but I'm not a pianist. Thank you very much for any tips.

Should move to Instruments.
Before buying you can always test some good free ones:
- BBC Orchestra https://www.spitfireaudio.com/bbc-symph ... a-discover
- Spitfire Labs https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/
- SINE https://www.orchestraltools.com/sinefactory
And if you want to feel a bit more adventurous blending modern sounds you can try Arturia Analog Lab free too :

Audio Modeling SWAM strings. Solo or String Sections, depending on your needs.
These aren’t samples, they’re physically modeled. So you can shape the performance exactly the way you want and not have to rely on how someone else performed it.

THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Hello. I don't know how to proceed to move to the correct section of the forum.
I'm not a composer of classical music, but I need quality strings in the background of my songs.
paramita123: Thanks a lot, I'll check out the links
jamcat: I've heard a lot of praise for Swam, but it's quite expensive ( 500,-Eur), I don't know if I'll use its potential in the styles I play.
Kypresso: Thanks for the link to VI-control, I wrote a question on Sunday and still no response.
Thank you all.

Can you post examples, because to be honest when someone says Country I don't immediately think of strings except for the fiddle? Don't start expensive is all I can say at the moment.
VI-Control as suggested is THE place to discuss sample libraries, but it can get a little overwhelming in the minutia of each library which you need not concern yourself with (those guys can be uber-fussy - I know I'm over there too).

Pane Arkadine:
Thanks for trying to help. I would like strings to slower country music romantic songs. As an example Alan Jackson:
Strings are heard from midway through the song.

I mostly have Spitfire, Orchestral Tools and 8dio when it comes to strings. After listening to the track, of those I would probably suggest a chamber-sized section:
Spitfire Appassionata
Spitfire Chamber Strings Essentials
Appassionata has the better legato, which that song has a lot of, but Chamber Strings has far more articulations.
Another consideration is how you want to write. Those two I mentioned are individual sections (violin 1 & 2, viola, cello, bass), so would require you to write each section separately, whereas you might actually prefer to just play chords with an ensemble instrument. This gives you less control of individual sections, and may limit your ability to play legato (some libraries have poly legato, some don't).
As suggested try the Spitfire Discover as it's free.
Also, if you're new to this, hold off buying anything until the sales. Different companies do different things, usually depending on the countries' holidays. If you see a library you like you can visit VI-Control to see when that library last went on sale. Maybe sign up to manufacturers' emails so you don't miss a sale. Do not buy full-price.

Mmh ... his question is about "Libraries" which usually means "Sample Libraries".agharta wrote: Wed Feb 14, 2024 8:57 pm Ask a moderator to move this to the correct section of the forum as you may get more replies.
Why is this not the appropriate Forum section?
