Does anyone know if the VST3 versions of Softube plugins are intentionally limited to 1 sidechain input? Obviously, it would be best to ask Softube. But it's the weekend so I thought I might get an answer quicker here. I searched around but haven't come across an answer.
The VST2 versions of the plugins I've tried (VCA Compressor and Mutronics Mutator) have two sidechain inputs. But the VST3 versions only show 1 input.
For example, the VST2 version of the VCA Compressor has 2 sidechain inputs but the VST3 version has 1 sidechain input. I've tried both Reaper, standalone Bidule, and Reason 12 with the same results. Reason 12 does show 2 sidechain inputs with the VST3 of the VCA comp but only 1 has an audible effect.

Yeah, Softube plugins are the only ones that show only as single input. They are weird for sure.

Thanks for confirming. If the VST2 versions ever become deprecated, hopefully they'll implement stereo sidechaining in the VST3 versions (or maybe CLAP).bmanic wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 4:05 pm Yeah, Softube plugins are the only ones that show only as single input. They are weird for sure.
