I'm curious if people are using these tools for things other than color bass, because every example I've seen of them has sounded pretty much the same. I'd like to give Chroma a try since it's significantly cheaper than Pitchmap but there's no demo for it.

The Chroma by Xynth Audio video looks interesting.
Will use to get variations and and do some pitch editing.
Very interested to see what others here at KVR have to say bout Pitchman and Chroma.

This is my issue with it as well. These things sound the exact same every time. It's a fun gimmick to hear it for the first time and after that it's just boring.

I use retune a bit - it has a 'sound' but that is fine by me. It automates pretty well too.jules99 wrote: Fri Apr 05, 2024 7:00 am If you're after a more natural sound, reTune might be worth a shot.
And then there are all these ways to do color bass:

are there a chance to have a so to say , real-time effet than could be used live by acoustic polyphonic instruments to be tuned at stage ?

I repeat my question
could be this polyphonic correction low latency enough to be used in so to say real-time by a polyphonic acoustic instrument, like a plucked string for instance ?
I know about performers in Burkina Faso that uses monophonic transposition in their live performance of their ethnic plucked strings instrument (N'Goni, Cora, Kunde)...waiting for a moment in there polyphonic correction could be applied in live performance ?

I feel like my question may have been misunderstood. I was looking for examples of these kinds of plugins used on something that is NOT color bass.

I have chroma so can only speak to it, not pitchmap. It does what it says but the effect is very noticeable, and I wouldn’t use it outside of 2 use cases I’ve found so far. Color bass as you noted, and processing atonal textures into beautiful interesting pads.

It can be used for real time correction but it’s very heavy handed effect, not transparent at all.Krakatau wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 3:55 am I repeat my question
