Ask yourself why, after 30 seconds, we have to listen to 30 seconds of badly played single notes before you get into something else? Keep plugging away at it. You've got a ways to go yet.

I found your melodies interesting and when you get a couple of overlapping lines going together the result can be engaging. It’s pretty spare and, to my ears could use some more fleshing out with additional layers. As burkek says, keep at it.
