VST Instruments vs. Effects

I have VCV Rack 2.5. It will insert as a VST plugin. However, FL Studio thinks it's strictly an effect, not an instrument. This is wrong, because it can be either an instrument or an effect. Is there anything I can do within FL to allow it to load VCV Rack as an instrument in the Channel Rack?

Did you do a full plugin scan or just a quick scan? A quick scan doesn’t categorize them. I would open the plugin manager and do a full scan,then if it doesn’t categorize the plugins correctly you can select them in the plugin manager and change the type to either effect or synth and hit the apply button. I don’t have vcv rack but I have Cardinal and there is 3 plugins- cardinal,cardinal synth and cardinal effects,Fl studio identifies them correctly without having to change anything after a full scan
