hi guys, im still using Basslane Pro wrong i guess so my scenario is like this:
i use Monofilter from Nugen mostly on my master buss to mono my low end end mostly.
I got a techno track where i was listening to it yesterday and somehow it missed some bass/feel from my subs so i first pushed the kick a bit more and added some MBassador to give the kick also a very small (10%) oomph but not clashing with the bass. the bass itself lacks low end, so i sidechained a simple sinewave to it to give the bass more character. but still it lacked somehow the oomph,i then added BASS XXL to my bass (kick and bass sidechained) and boom i got a nice oomph character with slight harmonics.
so far Bass XXL seems really awesome.
but i also got Basslane Pro and wanted to finally use it and analyze it, i switched off Bass XXL and added Basslane pro, i didnt play much with stereo enhancement cause i want to bass not much in stereo and only slightly like it is, i added crunch to the mids but it still doesnt sound as full and oomph like Bass XXL. on another track which is more DnB i also ended up with Bass XXL, so i wonder:
1. do you think my procedure is good to give some low end with this method? (what you think of Bass XXL?)
2. am i using Basslane Pro wrong?
thx
Bass XXL vs Basslane Pro (Monofilter maybe) - Bass XXL gives more oomph?
