Here's a new update for the mighty Rhino ! In addition to various bug fixes, this update features several enhancements like:
- display harmonics numbers in the additive editor
- new harmonics processing functions in the additive editor
- oscillators can be muted directly from the top tabs
- the additive editor accepts drag/drop for .wav and .add files
- stereo, 24 bits and 8 bits wav files are now accepted in the additive editor and as external wavs
- deleting items from the presets database is now much faster
- items dropped in the presets database now go into the proper folder
- new menu for the the current preset name
- Rhino prompts for the install path if not found (for compatibility with Muse's Receptor)
If you already have Rhino 2.0, there's a small update package to upgrade to 2.01.
An updated manual will also be available in the next few days.
Enjoy the new Rhino,

I downloaded Rhino 2.01 today and installed. I tried to mute some of the oscillators on the patches but couldn't figure out how to do it. Maybe I'm blind or something. I tried to untick the small yellow lights.......? Does anyone have a suggestion?

I hope this is not a bug, but unfortunally I lost to of the best flute presets I have ever made, by saving them as a bank file on top of an v.1 Rhino bank, = the file now contains 0 bytes. And I did not back up the saved file, the old was backuped before, but that does not bring back my to flutes, Think Shaka... Sha... eh... You know what flute I mean.

You can mute an oscillator by left-clicking in the waveform display (on the oscillator page).erianhol wrote:I downloaded Rhino 2.01 today and installed. Also, new in V2.01, you can mute directly from the top tabs by left-clicking on the little green lights next to "osc1", "osc2", ...

Shakuhachi it is. Yeah. Well, if you had sent it to me for sharing with others, it wouldn't have been lostdrinelli wrote:I hope this is not a bug, but unfortunally I lost to of the best flute presets I have ever made, by saving them as a bank file on top of an v.1 Rhino bank, = the file now contains 0 bytes. Seriously speaking, I don't know what happened. If you have any song saved with this particular preset, recalling the song should recall the preset too.

I have tried left-clicking in the waveform-display. That works fine, but left-clicking the green light doesn't work for me here. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I install the dll, I just put the file in the vst plug-ins directory right?

Yes. The "info" page says 2.01, right ?
The mute function on the led will only work for oscillators that have some waveform assigned, obviously. Also, that led area is fairly small, maybe you didn't hit it right on ?

Yes! The info page says 2.01! I have tried a lot of times. For example if I take the patch "Funky Rhino", oscillator number one says "Saw" right. If I try to mute that by left-clicking the little green light or led, it doesn't work here. It is not a big deal. I just wanted to find out if I'm doing something wrong. I use Cubase SX 1.06. I haven't tried the standalone version of Rhino yet.

I also found something else, maybe a bug or something. When I click on the "add" tab and then click on for example "osc 1", my Cubase SX hangs. This is the first time I have experienced that. I tried to close Cubase but it didn't work. I had to turn off the computer. I tried the same thing again and cubase hanged again. Then I reinstalled Rhino 2.0 and everything worked fine.

Yep I am experiencing exactly the same here. I think I have clicked every pixel in the led with no result.erianhol wrote:Yes! The info page says 2.01! I have tried a lot of times.
