I seek for your advice on the following:
I have bought three sample cd's on a clearance sale. Got them cheap, so I couldn't help buying them.
Two of them are in Akai format, the last one in Giga format.
I have Halion 1 and will soon upgrade to the newest version.
Halion 1 can't "see" any of the above mentioned discs.
Will Halion 3 read Giga and Akai like that, or do I need to buy some translation software?
I see cdxtract is very affordable, but then it doesn't support halion export (yet).
On the other hand I may get away with buying the Chickensys Translator, maybe in the "special edition" flavor, hence every format export only to a sample of choice, in my case Halion.
Advice, please

Ok, I have to rectify what I previously wrote, in case other Halion owners get tempted to pick a giga cd.
Halion can import giga without problems, I just hadn't played too much with this baby yet: I found the import external format dialog, then imported everything.
Different story with Akai, looks like I'll need to upgrade to the newest Halion version, or get a translator sw.
