The only Expert Sleepers module that will work without an ADAT out from the interface is an ES-8.

Thanks for replying, so the ES-8 will show up alongside the SSL12 while it's connected through USB?os wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2024 11:16 am The only Expert Sleepers module that will work without an ADAT out from the interface is an ES-8.

I thought you wanted to connect via ADAT?
If you're happy using USB, you can add an ES-8 or an ES-9. On macOS you would use them both via an Aggregate in the Audio MIDI Setup. If you're on Windows it would be asio4all.

So just to be clear and I don't want to sound stupid, I can connect the SSL12 ADAT in to the ES-8 out? Then in the future I can expand the ES-8 with other Expert modules etc ?os wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2024 11:16 am The only Expert Sleepers module that will work without an ADAT out from the interface is an ES-8.
Just want to make sure the SSL12 is suitable in this set up
thanks

You can connect the ES-8 ADAT output to the SSL ADAT input. You would then have to tell the SSL to take its sync from the ADAT input.
This will give you 4 inputs from the ES-8. Further expansion is not possible in this setup.
