Hi! This poll is triggered by the new introduction of the Share-It payment option at AudioShot – one thing about Share-It is the cost to process an order, plus the time it takes for the funds to reach the vendor. I was thinking the best way about combating this rise in cost with Share-It, was to change the Share-It option to Euro.

But it looks messy having the Pay Pal in dollars at a cheaper rate, and the Share-It Euro rate. (but it could be changed to Dollars and higher)

So I was wondering – should I leave it as it is now

Or change everything to USA Dollars and at the same cost but higher (all the packages have been upped in specs)

Or what do you think.

I reckon the same kind of issue must have come up for Developers here with the sale of Soft Synths etc.

I was also thinking of issuing a discount for people who continue their hosting after their year is up – but that’s a different angle and it depends on the poll.

I voted other so I could see the vote and not lean it in any one direction.

Best regards,

Use your native coin, Spe3D..You're accomodating enough as it is..I don't have a problem paying in euros..And your services are very cheap, so if the rates were to climb, I doubt I'd care about that at all.

Ya gotta be good to yourself, too, man..

Thanks sicklecell,

I think I will keep Share-It as it is and change the PayPal to Euro to equal the Share-It cost and currency.

Uniformity is a better way to go,

I don't mind Euros either. What ticked me off when the transition happened - I had been buying toy trains direct from Germany, and the DM was markedly cheaper than US/CDN. Say a Engine that was $100US, was $85DM, and with the exchange rate - I was actually getting that engine for $70US. ;) When the Euro came around, none of my sellers adjusted their prices. So that Engine is now $85EUR which is like $102US

So I think if it's going to be Euro, the price has to come down just a bit to make it look lucrative.
Even if my sellers said $80EUR, they still would've made alot of money, and I would still saved $2-3 bucks? As it stands now, I no longer do any business with Germany. :(

If that little story can make any sense? :?

Hi! Steven,

Thanks for your thoughts on this, it does make sense – and it looks like I may well be moving things back to the Dollar – though the prices in Dollars will equate to the Euro value (some tinkering might be needed there though)

Overall it seems the Euro is not liked at all – a couple of emails backed this up in a diplomatic way too.

So with all this info, I am going to be altering the site again, to Dollars.

I can’t win   – some people don’t like Euro’s (actually they hate Euros   ) and some don’t like Pay Pal, Some even don’t like Share-It,

Eeeek! Ok! The last alteration is Pay Pal in Dollars and Share-It in Euro (though you can select whatever currency when you go to pay)

Messy imo, but keeps the most happy. :hihi: :D
