Studio One ( midi controller settings ) to new cpu not working, how’s this done ?

I have spent many hours creating settings for my midi controllers in studio one v6. When I tried to copy surface data from cpu 1 to bring to cpu 2 , my midi controller settings are not being recognized. How do we properly export our midi controller settings, so we don’t have to remap them anytime we want to bring those controllers to a new studio or new cpu? How exactly does Presonus recommend this ? I cannot find any documentation on it.

Has anyone figured this out ? I was told to copy the surface data folder, and bring it to the new cpu, but it’s not working at all. Anyone have any success with this? How do you back up your midi controller settings in studio one ?
