Hello forum!
I’m on the hunt for an app or platform that will allow me to collaborate with other musicians, no matter where they are. I play the drums as part of a band however the cost of renting a studio, on top of the near impossible task of trying to sort timings out with 5 other band members is proving incredibly painful.
Please recommend anything, I’m keen to give it all a test.
Also, maybe something that gives me the opportunity to meet other musicians in a similar situation, could be fun to collaborate with musicians beyond my band.

Thanks for reading! :phones:

Ohm force had one called "ohm studio". It wasn't something I was looking for but seemed nifty.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Since the thread is bumped....
I read a short description how it should work in ProTools
- seemed like a good idea

If you have a project in the cloud some tracks are marked as shared, and each collaborator can update their part individually.
- but don't have detailed knowledge about it

A bit like version handling software for source code, one could say.
- you check out what is updated
- everybody do and run the same version of project eventually

The one thing I know of that provides a platform for real-time playing with someone remotely is something developed under the auspices of Stanford U, called Jack Trip. When I see something on YT where it's done (this became a bigger thing during Covid lockdown) I kind of figure that's how. But it requires having a landline and some particular hardware, wifi is not feasible owing to the latency. I don't have that at hand at the moment but it's not hard to find.
