In Studio One, you got the possebilety to put VSTIs together to one "plugin" and assing different midi ranges to them, so that you can play two or more VSTIs together as one.
You can safe it as one instrument or something like this.

Is there a way to do this in Cubase?
I know you can assign different midi ranges to plugins and you can play two or more Tracks at the same time, but you can´t store it like as if it was one plugin.

You'd select the multiple tracks and then right-click and save it as a Track Preset. You'd then load via the "Using Track Preset" option. Although it says "Track" (singular) it is capable of loading / saving multiple tracks.

Ah. I will try this. Thanks a lot.

I have run out of ideas of how to get Cubase 13 Pro to respond to midi input. I have just upgraded from Cubase 12,which is working fine, but nothing will make version 13 work. Furthermore, I have tried all the old tricks of deleting preferences etc, but it will not respond. Bitwig, Waveform, and Studio One all work OK. Did they change something drastic with regard to midi input and audio in Cubase 13?

Are you on mac or pc? Could just be a permission problem.

Thanks for your reply. I just found the answer. I didn't have the panel displayed at the side where you select midi inputs, and it was set to some odd input. Now all I have to do is sort out why it keeps seizing up and crashing.

I spoke too soon, the midi connection has disappeared again, and it's not the side panel setting that enabled it. The connection comes and goes in between the lockups and crashes. Cubase 12 using the same machine and audio interface is stable, so I guess It's something to do with a bug in Cubase 13.

Can confirm, there is a bug, I have the same occasional issue.

Yeah gonna need A LOT more info than that before we claim it's a bug. I've got 5/6 synths directly connected via USB, along with a 24 year old Emagic AMT8 controlling 2 16 channel samplers and whatever older synths are there and all of it is there the entire time I'm running Cubase 13, or 12, or 11, etc.. The only time any of it disappears is when the damn cat runs behind the desk and steps on the power strip.

I have just tried booting Cubase 13 and as usual it locked up.

I have deleted all VST locations - so no vsts to scan except Steinberg native vsts like Retrologue and Halion Sonic, and it even blacklisted something to do with those! This is in contrast to Cubase 11 and 12 which are still installed on the exact same machine with non-native vst's activated and working perfectly. The machine it is on fulfils all the requirements to run Cubase 13. This is on a Windows 11 PC running 23H2. They have obviously made some big changes between version 12 and 13 which makes it unusable on this machine. If I get time, I will update it on my new laptop and see if it runs on that.
