Toneboosters has released Equalizer Pro, an improved version of Equalizer 4. You can buy it for 59 euros or upgrade for 35 euros. New features include hundreds of new filters (including Transient, Sustain, Sibilance, Brickwall, and Direct & Ambiance filters which can "equalize reverberant or diffuse elements independently from direct elements, providing unprecedented control over spatial attributes"), improvements to the spectrometer, EBU R128 and ITU bs.1770 compliant loudness matching, EQ learn & match, 64-channel immersive audio and latency-free lookahead. There's no linear phase mode.

Available in VST, VST3, AAX for Windows, VST, VST3, AU, AAX for Apple macOS, and AUv3, IAA for Apple iOS/iPadOS.

This is a nice surprise, as I always considered EQ4 to be on of the very best.

Tried and looks nice, but also feels slow with workflow. Mouse wheel do nothing on points instead of changing the Q, and generally speaking you need more moves to achieve the same things as other eqs
Anyway interesting different filters and good price make it interesting

That's exactly what I would expect from an EQ. I accept we are all different.

Not in my case. Actually, when I saw this thread I toggled twice to see the date of this thread because I was under the impression this thread is about EQ4 (previous EQ), which I have and use.

So when I realized this was a new EQ, the first thing that came to my mind was "oh no not another one". Then I tried and it contrary to my prejudice and expectations this EQ ticked all the boxes for me.

Insanely fast workflow. Amazing sound with specific filters. Amazing Analyzer. The bonus is that integrates amazingly well with Reaper and DAW inbuilt graphics (I can see curves in Reaper mixer).

I am actually quite stoked.

I need to dig through the manual to see about other filter types. Installed just VST3 but there are no presets in this one. At least not in the VST3 version. Not a showstopper, I make my own but I wanted to see some showcase of these specific filters.

I think it is a superb release. Oh, another thing. The interface is beautiful, improved over EQ4, sharper, and overall just right up my alley.

As you can see I adore it. I became a fan really fast. And I have Equilibrium and all other suspects you can imagine.

Was thinking this morning how TB hasn't been making waves lately, went on the website and lo and behold - new EQ. I see what the guy has been busy with now. Of course I bought it, there are only two companies which are instant buy, don't even need to know what it is (Fabfilter being the other one).

Too many new features to grok in a few hours, but everyone seems to be going into transient/sustain EQ-ing now (and what am I supposed to do with SplitEQ licence if this turns out to be better).

Oh, and integration into Reaper mixer with the EQ view is a really nice addition, enough to make it a default channel EQ.

Seems to be designed for live usage because of the no-latency approach, very interesting. The amount of filters is amazing, plenty of options to play with.

I bought UVI Shade the other week for pretty cheap, it's technically a filter rather than eq, but its got more filters and features than this I think. I'm a little disappointed that the upgrade price is only temporary as well. Cant recall if he does that every time. Still I'll prob buy it just the same to support him. the filters inside are unique to it at least. Tho I think it's a stretch to call some of
them filter types.

*Alos no crossover filter type, so you will still need MBC for a proper multiband.

Same for me. Shade is great, I wish to be able to morph like Minimal Morph EQ
TB, I own few licence but I barely used it.
This Pro version come too late in the market.
I rather to use the Sonible Smart bundle

On a Mac (can't say exactly for Windows) holding either shift, control or option allows you to do different things with an EQ node and your mouse wheel. That for me makes things much faster.

The only downer so far is that he has dropped the portable version, oh well. Purchased the Upgrade as soon as I seen this thread

Any idea why the Pultec-style filters have been removed? Also the "flat-top" filters don't seem to be present?

And just a general comment, I don't really get the "product distinction" between 4 and Pro - seems like there's a lot of crossover and yet some things are only present in one or the other (e.g. the per-band saturation).

It would be great if the developer could explain the thinking behind this release.
