Cant believe this amp sim is basically a ghost. I learned about it from another thread here on KVR......Insta buy for me.
I have recently moved on from my favorite amp sim DSP to captures and profiles. Specifically. NAM and TH U rig player. The detail with these is just a step up from alogos.
Though I find them a bit cumbersome to navigate and suffer from option overload.

Sound wise this is somewhere in between captures and alogos. It is the first amp sim adventure since S gear where I was content just playing....
I believe it is multiple captures of an Italian made amp. Where the gain knob smoothly scans through the csptures.....not 100% sure on this.
Interface and implementation are where it really shines. One page gui that reminds me more of Vital than any amp sim I have seen. Volume compensated gain. Two channels, great fx, IR losder that allows you to import so that they are in the dropdown menu and a dynamic section that adjust chosen settings depending on playing.
Low cpu hit
It is everything you want and nothing you dont.
Again cant believe there is so little on kvr about this thing.
Maybe its honeymoon but I dont reach for the others much.....only to compare.

I had sworn off of amp sims but the price is so low I thought "why not?" Yeah, instant gratification...Primo sounds natural, I run my pedal board into it and Primo goodifies the sound. The onboard effects are simple and useful. It is not necessarily a better simulation than some of the others (but to my ears, just as good) but the fiddle factor is almost nil, just plug it in turn some knobs and play...highly recommended.
Now don't think you're the only one who harbours a self hate

Hi guys! We are really happy you are enjoying PRIMO! We have released several updates in the past, following the feedbacks of our users, so comments, feedbacks and suggestions are always welcome! Subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on our social media, we have some upcoming interesting news

@Scrubbing Monkeys : actually it's not a set of captures, but a single neural model which is aware of the gain level and reacts accordingly, without the need to be identical to something, that's why we describe the analog amp as a starting point and not as a target.

Demo tried, plug-in bought within 10 mins. This thing sounds fantastic. Easy to use. And it planted a tree for me. For around £16!
It brought out my inner Gilmore & I’ve already used it on a track

It's so compact it's hard to think of what could be added.... I'm always searching for something to add sustain in VST form.....big Robert Fripp fan

Do you mean no VST 2? They have VST 3, from the product page:
"TECHNICAL DETAILS:
PRIMO is available 64-bit AU, AUv3, AAX, VST3 and Standalone"

Same question. I bought Primo after a few minutes on the demo and it's fantastic! Bass is my main instrument so some factory presets or similar dedicated bass sim would be killer!

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply. @thecontrolcentre yes, we have VST3 versions for both Windows and macOS, packed together with the other formats (AU, AAX and Standalone) in the same installer. So if you're on Windows, you just have to download and install the Windows installer from here: https://apfxaudio.com/pages/downloads (https://apfxaudio.com/pages/downloads) .
@masonsjax , @Funky40 we are currently not working on a bass-oriented plugin, but it is something that could happen in the future, since we would like to expand our lineup not only with guitar products but also with plugins for other instruments.
@digitalboytn a dual IR loader will be part of future products, and probably added with an update to older products as well.
