I'm looking for a simple mixing advice for a terrible vocal recoding

Actually, it's not even a recording. It's from a vocal synthesizer program.

No disrespect to the creator of the program and the voice, and it performs decently with the right settings. But I tried to cover this song:

and I could only manage to get a vocal track out of the program that sounds not really great:

Do you think it's possible to get it sound somewhat ok with mixing? If you think so, I'd like to ask some advice for mixing this particular vocal. And if you think it's not salvageable, that's ok too. :)

The synthesized voice sounds like it has some autotune effect on extreme settings. I think no trick in the "mixing" toolbox can fix what's wrong with it. I think I have heard way way better Vocaloids.

Sorry, no, it's not fixable via mixing. The only way to fix that would be at the instrument itself. You might be better off separating the vocal stem, then use AI to recreate it.
