Hi guys! I am new on the forum, I hope that this is the right place to post this.
What is the best way to learn how to use the Maschine and, in particular, learn how to use the pads like a pro?
What resources do you recommend?

But be aware: It's good for "loops", but arranging.. phew!

If you want to learn the software and workflow in a structured manner, I’d suggest a subscription to MacProVideo and/or Groove3:

YouTube is a better source of info for finger drumming, though.

Check out the guides created by Native Instruments forum moderator D-One (check the forums for his info and his MK3 routing and playing guides). There are definitely a lot of videos on youtube that teach various parts of the MK3 workflow, but be aware of the main ways to use it:

1. (the primary way NI recommends using the device)MK3 controller + maschine2 software running alone on your PC = mostly standalone DAW/production sequencer tool. For this you need to focus on learning the maschine2 sequencer workflow - how to add notes to the sequencers, nudge and edit them, copy/paste them, and how to save/load projects, how to load and route instruments and sounds into groups, etc.

or

2. MK3 controller + maschine2 software running inside your DAW(like bitwig or cubase or ableton) as a plugin, also using the maschine2 sequencer, but routed into your DAW either multi channel or single channel. This is a whole other animal and requires routing inside your DAW + the maschine2 plugin to make it work properly. Some DAWs handle this well, others not so much.

or

3. MK3 controller + your DAW without using the maschine2 sequencer, using your DAW for multi in/multi out MIDI to and from the maschine2 plugin directly for each maschine group. This is difficult to configure but gives you more powerful control over everything maschine2 does.

or

4. MK3 controller in "dumb" MIDI mode(press shift+channel/midi button) inside your DAW - no maschine2 plugin at all, using the MK3 as a controller for other devices and plugins. For example, to control the Triaz drum machine, or to act as a MIDI controller for transport controls, clip playback, etc.

For all these methods, there are videos and forum threads, etc, but for #3 there are few good guides. If you want to use the maschine2 sequencer/light DAW and you have no other DAW or sequencer experience, do it. Learn the maschine2 workflow and get good at it, and then if you learn a DAW later it will be easier. (if you dont already have one)

Any specific questions? Ive been using the mk3 for 3-4 years now and have used it inside cubase 10-13 and bitwig 4.1 through 5.2.
