Its a mousepad where your fingers do the walking, they seem to have extras like 'gestures' which may be pretty handy for DAW use? Anyone know much about this?
If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YER MEAT!?

Everyone with a laptop, tablet or touchscreen?

Or do you mean specific models for use with eg a desktop system?

Oh yeah, i mean a peripheral for a desktop pc. I was already considering a trackball because of limited mouse space, but I though if these gestures like on phones etc might have good DAW uses?

It depends. There's more integration of the gestures with -everything- on phones and tablets. I think on Windows, you need to code the application specifically to use gestures in a more integrated way, and thus support will vary, though there's more built-in (because Windows touchscreens) than there used to be.

I think Sonar support for touchscreens was quite good, and maybe Studio One?

I only use the trackpad on Macbooks. That one is very nice.

On PC laptops I use a trackball or a mouse. I didn't do DAW work with a trackball.

I bought a couple of Perixx Peripad-504 but have not installed yet.

But this was all because I became impressed with touchpad on laptop.

i think it might work really nicely for navigation in the project window like panning left/right, but also zoom in/out. Might eb worth it just for that?
