Hello everyone, here I made a video demonstrating this bug.
I had to overcome my severe social anxiety and actually do the talking in the video, i was stumbling a lot, mispronouncing words and doing long pauses, I tried editing the audio as best as I could but its still not great. oh and the A/C was on, sorry.
The Arpeggiator only syncs the first time, after you release the keys and restart playing you will have to make sure you restart right on the first beat of the invisible background sync tha Korg Triton Plug-in generates

Did you try enabling Key Sync in the arp section?
It might not work perfectly for you, but you can see (and hear) patterns start over on the display with each key press when that's enabled.

YUP, got sync checked next to arp at the top of the triton and key sync in the arpeggiator common window. recorded one note bar 1 beat 1, held it down 4 bars..length of loop...works great.Examigan wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 7:14 pm Did you try enabling Key Sync in the arp section?

The problem with KeySync enabled is that with every key press the ARP rettirgers back from the beggining, and when there are chord changes not on the first beat then it breaks the rhythm completely.N 4 LIFE wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:47 amYUP, got sync checked next to arp at the top of the triton and key sync in the arpeggiator common window. recorded one note bar 1 beat 1, held it down 4 bars..length of loop...works great.Examigan wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 7:14 pm Did you try enabling Key Sync in the arp section?

So you want a sequence of the notes to play when you hold down keys and want them to start the right way each time, but also play keys out of sequence? I am sort of confused.
It seems if you are playing out of sequnce on purpose (if that makes sense) it will just not sound right.

I want the sequence not to "break" when I play legato with key sync on.
It's good that the sequences at least start correctly but then in order to maintain the sequence flow I have to switch chords only on the 2st downbeat of each bar.
in the second video i played same thing with key sync off and on.
here I'll list good and bad about each mode:
WITH KEY SYNC OFF:
Good: sequence keeps playing when switching chords and notes even when they're not on the beat 1 every time.
Bad: only possible to start sequence properly after switching patch, after that theres littel chance.
WITH KEY SYNC ON:
Good: Sequence always start at the beginning.
Bad: only possible to play bar-long chords / notes, if you'll play syncopated notes the sequences will restart even if you play legato.

well damn man. sounds like you are in a pickle.
two ways i would solve it:
1 i would use the midi arpeggiator software from my DAW which has a no retrigger mode.
2 just set up another instance of triton on another track and put in your other notes.

Sync is broken on the Triton and the Triton Extreme soft synths. I have had both of the hardware synths and they sync great to a MIDI signal. I have pointed other bugs to Korg's development team and they were able to fix those but they don't respond when I ask about Arp sync. I even offered to fix it for free if they sent me the source code.

we are still talking about the Triton, right?TS-12 wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:29 pmYou sure ? Even the combi patches ? How did you get it to work ? Are you on Mac on Windows ?
I'm on a MacBook 2019 running Logic 10.7. when i open up the Triton, the first patch in my internal bank is called nasty stabber. in the main window there is a red light flashing "sync." next to that on the right is the arp button. I tried the arp button and a four bar loop and nasty stabber, monkey skulls, acoustic piano, all of them play sequences in sync with the DAW. not sure what else to tell you. I'll get out my triton extreme and see if it is the same deal.

and yes, i tried the combination mode on the triton, everything in sync just fine. i'm not doing anything fancy mind you, just holding down some notes on bar one beat one of a four bar loop.
I just checked my triton extreme and it works great. sync with a flashing red light....i pulled up a combi called "the piano" and it has a whole band jamming along with it. does your triton have the flashing red sync light?
