the generousity and creativity is nice, but 96 kHz files are humoungous. and 1400 of them takes up too much bandwidth and download time.
just my 2 cents on this, but those files are much too large.

96kHz is appropriate for their target audience, but im sure they'll be apologetic about offering you too many samples. did you have an ideal number of free scifi weapon sounds that you would have accepted?
