Hi - I am seeing that BlueCat offers a harmonizer app but I cannot find it anywhere. It is not a part of the plugin I have already loaded into Garage Band. I have a difficult song that I just cannot find the harmony by ear and need help from the tool. Thanks for any insight.

Here’s the Harmonizer. you can find it in Patchwork, Late Replies or the MB7 Mixer.

The difference between this harmonizer and the built-in pitch shifter is that you can create up to 3 distinct voices (Dry, Voice 1 & Voice 2) and that they all follow a particular key, creating beautiful harmonies in this key instead of using fixed intervals. This is really great and avoid the hassle to record separate tracks for the same lead.

If it follows a key/scale, I doubt it will fix your problem. The description mentions "regular pitch shifters" and "fixed intervals". Sure, a pitch shifter set at a third interval needs sometimes a major and other times a minor third. By setting a scale it knows when to do what.

But humans do know that as well. Since you already struggle, you might have a difficult case where simply a major/minor third is not harmonically right.

The solution then is to do something else. Let the melody go up instead of down, interval of a fourth or fifth instead of third. Or give up on harmony and just join the main melody.
