Finally got me an upgrade from my rockin" 8350 to a nifty 9950x And man has crap changed. I would like to drop the temps somewhat and was wondering if anyone has been successful in doing so for a workstation build.What kind of profile did you go with?

Change the TDP https://www.club386.com/heres-what-happ ... 0x-at-65w/
and/or undervolt
Make sure the motherboard BIOS is updated and you are using the latest chipset driver.
A few tweaks also help keep PC latency as low as possible.

Or... just use a top-tier 420mm AIO... and run the 9950x to its fullest potential... without worry of Thermal-Throttling.
