I am messing around with my first sample release, and I am looking for the best way to tag samples. I have a few samples released on my Patreon but it has to be a pain to use in one of those sample organizer things..

Tagging is a big can of worms. Just speaking generally from my own experience, I found that tagging anything (samples or presets) is best done with a few general tags like drums, synth, pad, effects, bass, atmosphere - and maybe with one additional layer of descriptors like lofi, modern, vintage etc, but going deeper than that creates a big mess.
I mark up all manually. Automatic tagging can work but often creates additional work.
