Skip a version - feature request

Would be great to have a option to skip a version until the next.
sometimes a version update is only for mac-os or vice versa and it will always show a new version for pc although not available. Or in case version numbers are incorrectly matched temporarily.

Yeah, this is a fantastic idea of OP's, as it will help with multiple use cases all at the same time:

As OP said, solves the version update only available for a platform you don't care about issue
Solves the beta release issue, if you don't want to use a beta
Solves the developer not updating the metadata in the plugin issue / misreporting version issue
Partially solves the paid update issue, or at least defers it
