Why did Lennar Digital never release another Synth?

Love Sylenth 1 - stable, great sound, a true classic. It's probably good business for Lennar Digital, but I am still wondering why the never released another synth, did the developers go on to another gig in another industry? Just wondering

Not sure, maybe he has a full time job besides his plugin development?
By the way, it's on sale. This is on their website:
"From the 26th of November to the 2nd of December 2024 we will be offering 50% discount* on Sylenth1 in our Black Friday sale" Use code BLFR2024

I have no idea, but assuming he is a one-man shop, keeping up with support for a synth that popular must have left him with little time to sleep, let alone develop (and support!) more synths.

It's kind of ironic, since inclusion of the number "1" in the plugin name "Sylenth1" always alluded to an eventual successor. (even though technically, the current version is v3.073, I believe?)
It's still a very capable synth (with a ton of preset banks available), even though there are much newer and more capable alternatives around.
But I too wonder if a "Sylenth2" would ever see the light of day. Perhaps, it's not necessary, given the fact there are so many other alternatives around.
At least we can appreciate that the developer never tried to milk customers with a v2 paid upgrade release, including only very minor improvements, as certain other developers have done, or still do.
Sylenth still does what it does and does it well enough for most people who appreciate it.

Because it got cracked like the first week it was out. Forgot to add how awful some people were to him on this and other forums. That's why we can't have nice things.

I think you are maybe wrong. Maybe it means "The ONE and only."MrJubbly wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:16 pm It's kind of ironic, since inclusion of the number "1" in the plugin name "Sylenth1" always alluded to an eventual successor. (even though technically, the current version is v3.073, I believe?)

In retrospect, that would seem to be the case.BrokenTrance wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:56 pmI think you are maybe wrong. The first three plugins I bought were Wusikstation v1, Sylenth1, and OP-X Pro II. I don't use the first one anymore, but I still use the others.

€84 is a great deal. Anyone getting it now is lucky. Lennar didn’t do deep discounts like this before. Black Friday 2022 (when I got Sylenth) I paid €126 (that was with the BF discount at the time).Examigan wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 8:46 pm Not sure, maybe he has a full time job besides his plugin development?

I remember 18-ish years ago I also wrote a few mean thoughts, and hereby I'd like to apologize for that. Time showed that Sylenth1 is indeed cared for, and this sale is a good price for everyone who's interested.osiris wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:54 pm Because it got cracked like the first week it was out. It’s worth looking back at the first Sylenth thread in the Instruments forum. Some of the bile posted by some old saddos who still roam on this site are pretty f**king awful.
(Not directed at the person immediately above this post)
No idea why Lennard really stopped at one synth but I’m delighted he still maintains it and his great work will be remembered long after some KVR blowhards.
