Worth a demo, sounds very good. CPU certainly high but not like other Acustica products, has the benefit of a good appropriate FX section and a few other enhancements.

Piqued my interest; first time I've trialled an Acustica plugin in a couple of years. Much less glitchy and CPU intensive than previous effects I've tried. Think it sounds good on first impression, dare I say alive. GUI needs hi-dpi versions. €100 with all the current discounts. A more competitive pricepoint might entice new users into the Acustica ecosystem.

Hmm.. it's a bit on the "soft" side to be considered a proper emulation in my opinion. Also the filter is pretty damn shrill with higher resonance, so it's a bit of a strange thing.

But I guess if you don't really think of it as a hardcore emulation then it's fine I guess.

EDIT: Just to be clear. I have NOT yet started the demo. Will wait for a while as I'll possibly get a chance to borrow a mint condition Jupiter 8 just before Xmas.

Acustica Audio developing software instruments? Well, why not...?!
I ve stopped using their fx plugins,
I am not going to use their instruments
and another Jupiter is as exciting and tempting as another new compressor or SSL console plugin

After the intro price, the retail price is high. $242?
I’d rather just get the TH8 and not the TH5, and then hopefully the price would be lowered.

Maybe at some point they will sell them separately.
