Reaper Problems

I've updated it with the latest update. I knew I shouldn't have as the update is listed as a beta. Big mistake.
I have a bunch of projects that I've pinned as sketchpads. These won't load.
If I double click on a project in my windows explore folder, it won't open.
I can't pin any new projects because they aren't showing up on the menu if I mouse over Reaper in my taskbar.
It will load the last project worked on, and the only way I can open other projects is the long way around, by going into REaper and loading from the list of recent projects.
This sort of thing happening to anyone else? Is this just a shitty update?

where did you download the Reaper program from?
just download the NORMAL version from https://reaper.fm
maybe do a portable install if you like and run that instead.
your projects will likely load into that instead of the "beta"

Try downloading the normal x64 release. The beta is arm64ec. Click the green download button, not the "also available:" text link.
the normal 7.28 x64 release is working great here, no problems loading old projects.

i sort of agree with you on that. it's not efficient. quantization is overloaded with too many options that shift notes off beat instead of on beat.a9k1tp wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 7:30 am Midi editing is the only thing I hate in Reaper. Everything else is great once configured. Piano roll is a joke and it needs major improvements.
