How to make this "simple" kick-bass-pump" (mp3 in rar attachement)
1, 5, 9, 13 kick, 3, 7, 11, 15 bass. But how do the two "merge" here? "Normal" sidechain alone doesn't?

I think you're doomed to failure trying to make off-beat bass pump with on-beat 4/4 kick. Why would you want to sidechain those two when they're not even playing at the same time or even close to each other?
