A YouTuber I follow with a history of making Arturia videos upon release just uploaded a video on Pigments 6 which immediately disappeared

And when I went to Arturia's website it's down for "maintenance"

Wonder if Pigments 6 is about to drop

Post

Hope that they will give it to existing users for free as before...

Well, NAMM just started, so that would not be too surprising.

The new oscillator is called "Pigs Scream".
It's aimed specificially at acid stuff.

What would the ultra-experienced synthesis connoisseurs of KVR like to see in the update?

A sound that doesn't make me sleepy every time I tried to use it, versions 1 - 4.
Very boring to my ears.
Hopefully they address the core sound of the engine(s).

I'd like to be able to pan the oscillators. Also I wish the fonts were a little bigger for my ageing eyes.

An "analog" section that doesn't sound like complete garbage. Put on a PWM and modulate it's width and listen to how cheap and nasty it sounds.

I think Arturia's oscillators have actually gotten worse over time somehow.

Pigments 5 is my by far favorite synth. Things I'd like to see in P6 are the Mini V4 filter added, improved arpeggiator and seq with more features like ratchets and whatnot. A bunch of new samples and wavetables is probably a given.

Ah we're all doing this again. As a digital synth, I like it a lot more than Massive X - not just in terms of workflow, it sounds better to me. Or - I'll be honest here - the presets are better. Waaaay better.

So interested to see what's in 6. Everything thus far has been free updates too. So sorry I'm not ragging on Arturia, I'm a happy camper.
