This looks really promising as a start. If they ever combine this technology with my idea of a custom 4x8 grid of Elgato Stream Deck style buttons for custom synth layouts and MIDI 2.0 protocol, it would be the be-all/end-all controller in my opinion.
Heck, it doesn't even have to be Elgato style buttons. If they just allow easy customization and replacement of the key caps and include a bunch of different colored buttons with VCA, VCF, ENV1, ENV2, LFO1, LFO2 etc printed on them, then we could build our own 4x8 grid layout which would be super user friendly and immediate for controlling of any synth parameters, even in complex synths.

They look like the same kind of key caps on my computer keyboard so you would just need a key puller like the one I have in a drawer.

I tried it. It's even better than I was expecting. At the same time, I can't see myself getting it.

I like mine does that count
Here is a nice deeper view with Ableton integration (I am hoping for some tighter Bitwig integration from the community maybe, but I've gone back to ableton in the meantime just to use this for recording automation and stuff, very fun).
