crusher-X 11 Release Notes:
[*]Adds 12 Main +2 AUX channels output channels with 7.2.1, 7.4.1 and 5.1 Pro Tools Atmos channel configurations
[*]Adds new Grain Window Tilt Modulation (invented by accsone 2025), resulting in hyper percussive or sloppy grain storms
[*]Adds Center Panning Grain Modulation to Generators that are assigned to center Surround channels (e.g. for Atmos)
[*]Adds crusher-X Instrument versions for all plug-in formats (VST2, VST3, AAX, AU). Instrument and Effect versions got UI and patch variations
[*]Adds full UI control over 8 DCOs with 8 DCO Tabs incl. Volume, Sampler and mutual FM modulation controls
[*]Adds 12 MACRO parameters (Spirals) and MACRO Editor. Removed most plug-in parameters to support plug-in parameter control over MACRO parameters. This adds more flexibility for parameter automation and future update comparability
[*]Adds full ADSR control including an Attack, Decay and Release spline controlled process. Up to 10min Attack, Decay and Release duration. Smart smooth ADSR level flow on a single generator
[*]Adds Reset button for all 8 DCOs
[*]Adds exponential processing of mapped MACRO and MIDI controller in case of a mapped exponential UI element
[*]Adds multidimensional input indicators on spline and envelope UI controls
[*]Adds UI top bar with Bypass, Program, Undo, Morphing and Random/Reset elements
[*]Adds SideChain Input Level Control in Mixer
[*]Adds Reset to Factory Preset Pop-Up Menu entry for a single program
[*]Adds DCO Mixer Fader to Global Mixer Group (if Global Mixer is enabled in Settings)
[*]Adds New Button with Reset Programs (and removes Reset Program from Program List)
[*]Adds a Checkbox on the current selected item in selection pop-up menus
[*]Adds new keyboard shortcuts and adds Show Shortcut Button in Settings
[*]Adds Mute/Solo Output Label functionality
[*]Improves UI layout, color palette and UI element rework, improves label and button contrast
[*]Improves sound quality by reworking the Speed processing engine
[*]Improves DCO quality by reworking the DCO processing engine
[*]Improves Grain Window processing quality by adding window sample interpolation
[*]Improves Grain start accuracy for different Speed and Sweep modulations between Generators
[*]Improves MIDI, Adore and MACRO mapping grid scroll bar behavior
[*]Improves Randomize ranges
[*]Improves PDF User-Manual
[*]Improves Reset Program loading so that the generator amount is automatically adjusted to the amount of output channels
[*]Removes SideChain routing to input mode (as side-chains are already routed in instruments)
[*]Removes Free MIDI Mode as from now on Generators are always on even if MIDI mode is enabled (ADSR works now on sample and no longer on grain level)
[*]Removes Out Link Button as Shift+Drag on Level meters sets levels individually
[*]Removes Morph system from undo/redo system so that a morph between undo/redo scenarios can be done
[*]Fixes missing controller learn functionality on the Input Filter
[*]Fixes Lfe crackl bug while changing channel output format from higher to lower channel counts
[*]Win: Increases multi threading core usage for high performance CPUs
[*]macOS: Optimizes the macOS installer so that a system restart is no longer needed
[*]Standalone: Adds 12 Output Channels

it is quite an overhaul, internally and especially UI wise....

and finally an instrument and effect version seperately.... now i don't know why i never asked this.... well... it is here...

Post

is a lot to pay, I understand the rationale and agree with it, but is a lot for me at the moment - I will have to demo this one I think to see if the value is there over and above v10.

whoa:) massive list of updates.
me mostly interested in Grain Window Tilt Modulation and the Macros system.
but I'll take em slowly.

bigups Accsone. really fat update.
( installing it as we speak...:)

I only upgraded to v10 about 3 months ago, so I will be evaluating this release at a leisurely pace.

hmm... seems like you should get a discounted upgrade or something.. maybe even a coupon for free upgrade.. but you'd probably have to email them about that.

I have played with the demo and the interface is much better, congrats on that. Before upgrading I would like to see some demonstrations of sounds from V11 that cannot be achieved in V10 (or other granulars such as Soundmorph Dust or Wave Warper 2). I can't think of another granular vst instrument that covers granular depth and spatial sound as well tho

No contest. Dust is hardly in the same league as Crusher-X.

Nothing granular that I have found is in the same league as Crusher-X but Dust is still very powerful and covers a lot of territory in common with Crusher-X. And it is much easier to use, which is a 'power' in itself. I wish Dust had individual outs to make post processing easier but even 'as is' there is plenty to achieve and explore with Dust>
I would still like to see a direct comparison of v10 and v11 demonstrating the value in updating as far as sound production is concerned, not just interface improvements. The upgrade price has increased by 30%, which is quite a bit for me and most likely I will hold off for the next version or just stay on v10

Any examples of great sounds from Crusher-X? I demoed it years ago and struggled--its complexity didn't make for a good demo experience--I'm thinking it would take a good bit of time to learn it..
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

is there an 'init' preset to start the process with no modulation

next to the program list, drop down... there is an icon, without tooltip, with a + in it, there are some starters, one is: reset....
