How to make that sound...

I've recently fallen inlove with putting a reverb on the same chain as my flanger for vocals. I call it the "Magic Reverb". Super smooth, big and silky.

I just use stock logic flanger and vintage verb for a beautifully clean sound.

Let me know if you guys have any cool combos like that or similar

My early vocals in my EBM/Industrial days was commonly $2 mic, drive the desk, Flanger, Echo & reverb.

Flanger kinda lost coolth after the 80s but there is a lot more to flagging than long sweeping buzz guitars.

I'm fond of flanged reverb (i.e., reverb then flanger) -- this makes the flanging much less mechanical, more varied. I like to use this on drums with high settings, because it gets trippy. But that's kind of a niche sound. Cheers.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Flanger into reverb:

Post

once i had a super powerful flanged reverb that sounded like a plane taking flight.
i used it as a drum special effect. it came as an IR for convolution reverb.
but somehow i lost the file and now I can't get that anymore.
i searched and searched online, but i can't find it anymore.

i've heard the effect in Bigod-20's song "The Bog"; it's kind of like an explosion that "lifts off".
