Just saying, for those missing some non-linearity in their life under Cubase, reMIDI became usable with the 4th iteration. It works with MIDI clips in Cubase, allowing drag and drop, and you can throw them back into it as well. Plus, you can chop up the clips all over the place, and trigger the notes with pads like in a drum machine—after all, it’s called a MIDI sampler for a reason. Anyway, the main thing is that it’s starting to shape up nicely.

They’ve done a clever job tweaking it; it’s coming together now. Hopefully, there will never be a clip launcher in Cubase, but the MIDI sampler was a good idea—now that the workflow with it isn’t cumbersome anymore.

In other words (if you missed), it works like this: you drop a MIDI clip/file into it from Cubase or its own browser, chop it up into smaller triggerable pieces, and have fun with it.(they can be edited even further it has own piano roll even with chord detection, slice, join etc). Then you can throw the chopped-up pieces back into Cubase as/if you like. + many other smaller features

Honestly, I’m not even sure which other DAW allows you to drag and drop MIDI clips directly into VSTs from the arranger, but at least Cubase does, and it works nicely too

I've been messing around with it for the past 2 hours, and luckily it didn’t crash Cubase, so feel free to trial it if you want... peace and love :D

That's a pretty neat idea. Can each triggered clip contain CC data and pitchbend, etc? I use Cthulhu usually if I want to get this kind of thing going but it's designed mostly as an arp.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

I think even the third one was still pretty silly, but here you can start to see some care

But I still think it's the most useful under Cubase, where you can drag and drop MIDIs directly from the arranger into it then triggering the chopped-up MIDI(the new choke functionality is nice one). And since its editor is getting better and it recognizes scales now, there's no need to throw everything back into Cubase and then back again. It already works on its own in the tool. I think it's coming along nicely.

It's like it was in early access until now, and 1.0 has just been released with it

Thank you very much. I am also in Cubase.
BTW upgrade price from version 2 is not so high. So, maybe I will try it then

Appreciate it. Never could figure out a useful workflow with v2, but your feedback makes it sound like the v4 is a good update. Thx!

I'm also glad there's a vision behind it, and the developer hasn't given up yet(and with the free update between 3 and 4, he-she-it-they’re showing appreciation for the support so far). Cheering for them from here, it makes Cubase a better place.
